Danielle Harold’s sizzling love life from Bobby Brazier connection to Pete Wicks ‘romance’

Danielle Harold was a hit with I’m A Celebrity viewers but who has she taken a liking to over the years?

The 31-year-old shot to fame with BBC soap EastEnders as Lola Pearce, but sadly exited Albert Square earlier this year in an emotional storyline. Looking for a fresh new challenge to end 2023, Danielle joined the star-studded jungle and ended up coming in fifth place.

She competed alongside This Morning’s Josie Gibson, politician Nigel Farage, YouTube’s Nella Rose, actress Jamie Lynn Spears and of course King of the Jungle, Sam Thompson. After walking across the famous bridge and being reunited with her loved ones, she was seen getting cosy with former TOWIE star Pete Wicks, who was in Australia to support his best pal and winner Sam.

As she opens up about her time on the ITV reality show during today’s Loose Women, we take a look at the star’s romantic life over the years and which other celebrities she has been linked to – from a former co-star to her connection with Strictly Come Dancing finalist Bobby Brazier.

Relationship status

Ahead of going to Australia, Danielle confirmed that she is currently single and is not looking for love. She also shut down rumours that she might find love in camp like other previous campmates like Katie Price and Peter Andre.

She said: “I am single and no I am not looking for love! It’s been a crazy, crazy year and so why not top it off with the craziest thing ever by doing this?! It’s definitely a shock to the system and I am both excited and nervous. This is so much tougher than anything or any role I have ever done before as it is all so new.”

Pete Wicks canoodling

Former TOWIE star Pete Wicks headed Down Under to be reunited with winner Sam Thompson, however before their emotional encounter, he mingled with contestants’ friends and families. After spending time with Danielle’s step-dad and mum, Lisa, Pete was later spotted partying with the former EastEnders actress.

The pair were seen getting close, with onlookers describing the two stars as “incredibly cosy” with lots of cuddling as they “acted like a couple” at Queensland’s Surfers Paradise. They were all smiles as they were seen strolling through the club together with Danielle holding a cocktail, before they shared a sweet embrace as Pete lit a cigarette.

A source told The Sun: “Danielle and Pete were incredibly cosy. They were cuddling a lot and were very tactile. They acted like a couple.” The pair were also seen playing around with the onlooker adding that Danielle “jumped” on Pete’s back at one point and they posed for pictures together.

“Pete was also seen making friends with Danielle’s family at the hotel as her mum Lisa Marie and stepdad supported her in the jungle before she was eliminated. When asked about her relationship with him, Danielle simply said: “I know Pete from outside. Me and Sam are incredibly close and I said to him that Pete and my mum were going to get on like an absolute house on fire.”

Breaking his silence on the after parties, Pete has insisted he didn’t get with anyone. Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant with Sam, Pete said: “Just on my experience for the whole f****** thing, we’ll go into that another time properly. I just want to point out that I didn’t sh** anyone’s wife.”

Co-star romance rumours

Rumours swirled in the last year that Danielle and her on-screen husband Jamie Borthwick, who plays Jay Brown on the soap, could be an item in real life. She shared a photo with Jamie last year at the Broadcast Awards, which she captioned as “my love”.

This soon sparked speculation they could be more than friends. Jamie and Danielle spent a lot of time together during Danielle’s final few months on EastEnders, because of their on-screen relationship as Jay and Lola. Addressing relationship rumours between the pair, speaking to Fabulous magazine, Danielle said: “I’m just going to leave that one out there, because it’s soo funny. It makes me laugh so much, I’d hate to squash it!

“I always say Jamie is the husband I never wanted or asked for, but nonetheless got. Seriously though, there’s no one like that at the moment. But I’ve been so busy, it’s probably for the best. I’ve got no time, which is something to feel really lucky about.”

Bobby Brazier connection

Another co-star romance that was mentioned is Danielle’s closeness with Strictly Come Dancing’s Bobby Brazier. They were allegedly seen holding hands while arriving at the National Television Awards in October last year, which caused the public to think they must be an item.

A source at the time told The Mirror at the time: “Bobby and Danielle walked separately from the rest of the EastEnders cast at times. They certainly looked comfortable in each other’s company.” Bobby and Danielle have gone on the share videos of each other online but appears that the pair are just sticking to being friends.
