EastEnders fans ‘work out’ chilling Theo twist – and it’s bad news for Stacey and Freddie

EastEnders viewers think they have rumbled a major twist involving Theo Hawthorne that will leave Stacey Slater and Freddie Slater in big trouble.

Amid death hints for one character and an exit for another, viewers are convinced that villain Theo will survive after a violent attack – and he could find a new way to target Stacey and Freddie. Freddie was arrested for attempted murder on Wedneday night following a violent attack in the previous episode.

Freddie had attacked Theo after he assaulted and tried to rape Stacey, after months of him stalking her and harassing her with the police failing to help her. Theo and Freddie began to fight, before Freddie whacked him over the head with an iron before punching him repeatedly – with Theo left lifeless on the ground.

As the pair and Stacey’s pal Eve Unwin delayed calling an ambulance, wanting to make sure Theo was exposed for his crimes, attention turned to making sure Freddie did not go to prison. They set the scene up so they could claim it was self-defence, planting a weapon on Theo and claiming he came at them with a wrench.

But a moment when the trio were in the kitchen discussing what approach to take left some fans convinced Theo was conscious. He began groaning in pain and moved on the floor before appearing to pass out. Stacey and co then called for help before telling the police their version of events.

Fans are worried though as they believe Theo will survive the attack, and take aim at Stacey and possibly Freddie too. Many wondered if Theo was alert the entire time that Stacey, Freddie and Eve were plotting in the kitchen and that he might have heard everything they said. Fans feared he would wake up in hospital and expose their story to the police, or maybe use it against Stacey and Freddie.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “Ngl i think Theo heard the whole thing and is going to wake up and threaten stacey with the information.” Another agreed: “Was Theo lying there listening to the conversations?” while a third added: “I bet Theo heard Eve there too, so that will come out in the end & there’s also Bobby & Anna seeing Stacey outside Theo’s.”

Some fans even thought it might lead to a deadly Christmas showdown, with it known a mystery male character will die on Christmas Day. Six female characters are currently suspects, and one of them is Stacey so might Theo be the victim? One fan tweeted: “Theo no doubt heard the whole conversation, will come round, twist it. I’m wondering if the six are connected through domestic violence/ attempted rape. Stacey and Suki recently, Kathy and Linda historically, Denise abusive husbands, Sharon storyline coming up?” as another agreed: “Theo is alive & will have his final showdown with Stacey at Xmas time.”
