EastEnders’ Honey star shares rare snap with rock star boyfriend as fans left swooning
EastEnders’ Emma Barton, best known for playing Honey Mitchell on the BBC soap, had fans swooning after she shared a rare snap with her rock star beau on a day out
EastEnders beauty Emma Barton had fans swooning after she gave them a rare insight into her love life off-screen.
The actress, best known for playing Honey Mitchell on the BBC One soap, is in a relationship with Jason Perry, former frontman of British rock band A. The pair are said to have struck up a relationship late last year.
Despite keeping her personal life pretty low-key, last week Emma shared a slew of snaps of a romantic day out with Jason. Taking to her Instagram, Emma and her new beau looked happier than ever in the sweet pictures.
The showbiz couple headed out to the Lightroom on October 15 and Emma brought her loyal followers along. In the first snap, Emma struck a playful pose while cuddling next to Jason. Other snaps show the different pieces of art at the exhibition.
In the caption, Emma penned: “Love & Art. David Hockney: Bigger & Closer.” And it’s fair to say her fans were left smitten over the snaps.
Rushing to the comments section one person penned: “So beautiful!! Hope you had a lovely day xxx.” Someone else added: “Lovely pics Em hope you had a lovely day.”
A third chimed in and proclaimed: “Love this.” While another said: “Such great photos.”
Music producer Jason is known for being in the band A, which enjoyed success in the ‘90s and early 2000s. Their hit Starbucks bagged a spot in the UK top 20 in 2002, with their song Nothing also hitting the top 10 that year.
Prior to Emma’s romance with Jason, she was married to Nigel Stout. However, it sadly ended in a painful divorce, with the actress going through proceedings as she joined the cast of EastEnders in 2005.

Alongside her husband of three years, she was said to be “devastated” by the split, with a source telling People at the time: “Both are devastated their marriage didn’t work out. Ultimately it was Emma who decided they couldn’t go on. It hasn’t been easy on either of them.”
Emma has previously dated former EastEnders co-star Joel Beckett, who played Jake Moon. She also had a relationship with Stephen Mulhern for three years.
Meanwhile Jason was said to have been married to a woman called Holly – who he married in 2000. The former couple share four children.
