EastEnders’ Keanu ‘not really dead’ as fans ‘work out’ shock return — and it’s days away
EastEnders’ Keanu Taylor was killed off on Christmas Day when Linda Carter stabbed him- but fans now reckon he’s not actually dead and will reunite with Sharon in a huge twist
EastEnders fans are convinced Keanu Taylor isn’t dead – and will make a shock return in a matter of days.
Fans of the BBC soap finally saw the Christmas victim revealed on Christmas Day after months of speculation and waiting. And it was Keanu who was killed after Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stabbed him with a carving fork.
Keanu (Danny Walters) almost murdered his bride Sharon Watts by strangling her before Linda stepped in – in a bid to protect her best pal. Earlier on in the day, and on their wedding day, Sharon found out Keanu had a role to play in their son Albie’s kidnapping. She also confessed that he was not Albie’s father, and revealed it was Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
After stabbing Keanu, Sharon and Linda, along with the rest of The Six women, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kathy Beale were seen desperately trying to cover up the grisly scene at the Queen Vic. They then ended up hiding his body at the iconic burnt out cafe, owned by Kathy.
Keanu’s on-screen death came as a shock to fans. The twist came after ten months of intense speculation from fans, who had six different potential victims.
But as the intense shots were being filmed in the run-up to the big day, BBC bosses were keen to keep things under wraps as much as possible. As a result, producers filmed scenes with Keanu, despite being murdered, as a red herring – to ensure that no suspicion arose.
During Tuesday’s episode (January 9) things took a dramatic turn when Sharon fled Walford with her son to head to the airport. Fellow The Six lady Stacey was left stunned when she was later told that Sharon had decided to go to Australia.

Fans watching the episode have now said Keanu is alive and claim his red herring shoot at the airport is actually a real scene. On an EastEnders fan Facebook page, one viewer mused: “Who thinks Sharon will meet keanu at the airport? maybe that’s what them airport pictures was.”
Someone else agreed: “He’s not dead. My opinion is he meets Sharon and they go to Spain to Karen. Because why hasn’t Karen come back especially now she’s out of the clear?”
A third quipped: “There’s definitely a twist somewhere as it’s been such a boring storyline up to now.” Another person said: “She said she keeps seeing him so it may be she hallucinates seeing him there and breaks down if we get any airport scenes.”
