EastEnders Spencer Moon star now has ‘normal’ job after ditching soap 18 years ago

Christopher Parker played the fan-favourite role of Spencer Moon on EastEnders between 2002 and 2005. Spencer is the brother of iconic character Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie

Former EastEnders star Christopher Parker now has a very normal job after quitting his role as Spencer Moon almost 20 years ago.

The ex soap star played the fan-favourite role between 2002 and 2005 and has only had very minor acting roles ever since. Instead, he’s found success as a solicitor at a London law firm.

According to the company’s website, Christopher, now 40, has worked with a number of high profile individuals. His work has even seen him work at a global film company on some major Hollywood films.

His focus now is commercial and media law, having spent more than 10 years in the entertainment industry before he trained and qualified as a solicitor. Christopher trained at University of London and BPP Law School, also in London.

He says in his online profile: “Previously, I worked with offenders for many years – giving people a second chance can make a big difference!” Travelling, running and yoga are listed as his other interests.

Christopher joined EastEnders back in 2002 as the brother of Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie. Despite only being on the soap for a relatively short time, he had a number of big storylines.

Spencer got involved with local crime gangs, left Vicki Fowler pregnant, and even got blackmailed by Stacey Slater, who claimed she was just 15 after they ended up in bed together. After some trouble, Alfie sent Spencer to Australia to live with their cousin.

He hasn’t been seen on-screen since, though it has been mentioned on the show that he and Vicki got back together. Nine years after he left, in 2014, he was mentioned again, when Sharon told Alfie that the couple was looking to open a bar in Sydney.

During the height of his EastEnders fame, Christopher also landed a spot on the first series of Strictly Come Dancing. He was partnered with pro Hanna Karttunen and they came in second place behind Natasha Kaplinsky and Brendan Cole.

In the years that followed his EastEnders exit, Christopher had a handful of small roles. He appeared in an episode of Hotel Babylon in 2007 as well as a few other roles until 2011.

Eventually he returned to screens in two episodes of Overnights in 2018, and then in one episode of Buried In The Backyard in 2019. According to his IMDB page, he has no more roles coming up or since then.
