That classic Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) fire came out in recent EastEnders scenes amid a bitter showdown with the equally fiery Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), and it was all over – you guessed it – Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Sharon recently discovered that son Albie was not biologically Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) but Phil’s, and has been keeping the secret ever since.

However, recent scenes saw Sharon finally confide in best friend Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), before realising that she had fallen off the wagon and instantly regretting her decision to open up.

Later, Sharon found Linda drunk in the toilets, and offered support to her bestie, who has had a very difficult couple of months, thanks to the return of rapist Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).

It was there that she finally revealed all to Linda, explaining how Phil was Albie’s father, but she didn’t want to ruin her upcoming marriage to Keanu and her friendship with her ex by coming clean.

Despite Sharon’s concerns that Linda would get drunk and spill all, it wasn’t actually the landlady that she needed to worry about, as it was Sharon herself who ended up letting the secret out.

As she told Linda that Phil must never find out, she was horrified to hear a toilet flush and see none other than Kat step out of the cubicle in camp, dramatic fashion.

Sharon was quick to chase Kat into the Square, demanding that she keep what she heard to herself, though Kat wasn’t prepared to lie to her husband, believing that, for Albie’s sake, he should know.

When Sharon’s begging failed to strike a chord with the Slater matriarch, she turned to threats.

She slyly pointed out that if Keanu found out, he would leave her, giving Phil the opportunity to dump Kat for a life with Sharon and Albie.

Though Kat argued that Sharon and Phil were in the past and him being Albie’s dad wouldn’t change a thing, Sharon warned her not to be so sure.

Will Kat confess all to Phil, or has Sharon called her bluff enough to keep her quiet?
