Ever since Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) returned to EastEnders, he’s continued to maintain the view that he didn’t rape Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) back in 2014.

A few weeks ago, he used this to his advantage after a confrontation with George (Colin Salmon) saw him fall down the stairs.

With George on a suspended sentence for assault, any involvement with the police could’ve sent him behind bars again.

This left Linda determined to get George off the hook, so she headed to the hospital to see Dean.

There, Dean promised to tell the police that he had fallen down the stairs, but on one condition: Linda had say she had lied about being raped.

Coming up, Dean is given a surprise when his ill daughter Jade arrives.

The newcomer heads to the pub alone where she is befriended by Gina (Francesca Henry), and then heads to the grave of her brother Zaair, who was Shabnam Masood and Kush Kazemi’s (Davood Ghadami) son.

Afterwards, Jade lamends her own prognosis and rejects Dean’s attempts to comfort her, until a chat with Gina about absent parents make her give him another chance.

In the week, Linda is feeling emotional at the prospect of facing Christmas without Mick (Danny Dyer).

She is then filled with fury when she receives a photo from Dean. He is dressed up as Santa alongside Ollie at the Beale’s Eels new grotto.

Linda heads to confront him where she lets rip and Keanu (Danny Walters) – who is also there – tells Jade that her dad is a sexual predator.

Jade – who has cystic fibrosis – is completely horrified and leaves Walford.

In the pub, Dean chats to Gina.

As they talk, Gina lets Dean know that she believes him over Linda – but what will he do with this information?

And how will Gina’s development impact Linda’s relationship with the Knight family?
