If you think of the café in EastEnders, you automatically think of the Beales, given that it has been in their family for years and years and years. However, all good things must come to an end, as Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) is set to prove in upcoming episodes.

Following the tragic fire that tore through the café last month, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) decided that he wanted to use the land, and he had the leverage to get it.

It didn’t take him long to realise that Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley), who was in serious debt to him, had been the one to start the blaze as part of an insurance scam, and he soon offered him a deal: Convince Kathy to sell the café to him at a reduced price in exchange for his silence.

In upcoming scenes Nish will continue to put pressure on Rocky to keep his side of the bargain, but eventually it is Kathy who decides to hear Nish out about a deal.

While Rocky despairs over whether or not to reveal all to his wife, a conversation with her sons is enough to persuade Kathy to look to the future, and soon she agrees to sell the café to Nish.

However, with Nish having got exactly what he wanted, he is quick to go back on his deal with Rocky as he implies to Kathy that her husband had something to do with the fire that she was arrested for.

Kathy is horrified, and soon turns to Rocky’s best friend Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) for answers.

Given that Harvey knew exactly what Rocky was planning, he all but confirms her suspicions, leaving a devastated Kathy with no choice but to confront her lying hubby.

The next day, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is eager to see Kathy shop Rocky to the police for his crimes, but it’s Nish that Kathy is focused on.

In the Queen Vic, Kathy is quick to confront him, demanding an apology, but Nish refutes her claims.

Poor Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) falls victim to a vile attack from Nish when she gets caught in the crossfire, and soon brother Keanu (Danny Walters) has stepped in to defend her, lashing out at Nish in the process.

As Nish makes more and more enemies on the square, should he be worried going into Christmas day?
