Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is on the edge in EastEnders as her mental health continues to struggle in the aftermath of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death and Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) attack.
On Christmas Day, Denise was responsible for attacking Nish and very nearly killing him. Shortly after Nish fell to the floor, Linda (Kellie Bright) killed Keanu but because the remaining members of The Six were present for both events, they have now been bound together, forced to go to desperate and dark lengths just to keep their secrets hidden.
Recently, after discovering renovations were beginning on the burnt out cafe, The Six met up again to move Keanu’s body.
In a completely horrifying twist, once the hole had been dug, an incident with Denise saw her fall into the grave.
That evening, she then made a realisation her necklace had fallen off in the cafe, meaning her DNA is on Keanu’s body.
Lying to nearly everyone and generally keeping her sanity in check is becoming more and more difficult for Denise and next week, her behaviour is picked up on by Kim (Tameka Empson), who is concerned for her well-being.
Later in the week, after hearing Suki and Linda chat about the cafe, Nish picks for information from Linda and Denise and concludes they must be hiding something.
As Suki worries about Nish’s memory returning, Kim tries to talk to Denise about her mental health and reasons she might be experiencing PTSD after witnessing Nish nearly die in front of her.
When Kim mentions Christmas, Denise is triggered, so she rushes off.
Worried sick, Kim announces that she won’t be going on her cruise, but Denise convinces her to go and covers by telling her sister she’s just upset over her and Jack’s (Scott Maslen) fragile marriage.
With her mental health impacted so much already, how long can Denise really keep quiet?
