Suki Panesar and Stacey Slater (Balvinder Sopal and Lacey Turner) have been out of their minds with worry since the sudden disappearance of Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) in EastEnders.

The last they heard from her, she had plans to run away from Walford, having just reunited with soulmate Suki, though it soon became clear that something was wrong when Eve failed to turn up to the tube station.

What Suki didn’t know was that abusive husband Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) had found out about their secret love affair, and used her phone to get Eve to Walford East, where he ended up knocking her unconscious and demanding that son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) finish her off.

After a huge argument, Ravi agreed to do Nish’s bidding, and dragged Eve off to the woods, where things took a surprising turn.

Instead of murdering her like Nish had asked, Ravi let her go, but warned her that if she ever came back to Walford or got in contact with Suki again, then she would be putting them both in danger.

When he got home, he lied to Nish and convinced him that Eve was dead and buried, just like they had planned.

Since that terrifying night, Stacey and Suki have been trying their best to find out what has happened to Eve, and have grown more and more concerned by the day.

At first, Stacey feared that Nish had rumbled their affair, which Suki naively denied.

In more recent scenes, Stacey received a Christmas card from sinister stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), and his suggestion that she was missing her ‘special someone’ left her fearing that he had something to do with Eve’s disappearance.

Having already asked Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) to see that the police took Eve’s disappearance seriously, Stacey reported the card, but not before sharing it with Suki.

Though the police insisted that there were no links between Theo and Eve’s disappearance, they continued their enquiries elsewhere, heading over to Walford East where they questioned Ravi.

Once they were finished with him, Ravi headed over to see Nish, but was concerned to find the police had got there first.

After Nish had shown them out, Ravi revealed that he had tried to warn him that they were coming.

As Nish lamented that Jack was ‘sticking his nose in’, Ravi pointed out that it didn’t help that Nish had kept hold of Eve’s phone for so long.

Nish was quick to deflect, asking if Ravi had done the job properly, as he didn’t want another Ranveer on their hands.

Viewers will know that Ravi killed Ranveer, but it wasn’t long before his body was found and an investigation followed, leading to Kheerat Panesar being sent to prison for the crime.

Ravi assured Nish that that wouldn’t be the case, as he had done a better job with Eve.

Nish was shifty as he pointed out that Stacey and Jack were becoming an issue, and that they may need to do something to put a stop to that, though Ravi urged him to just take one day at a time.

Will the police realise that Ravi and Nish are behind Eve’s disappearance, or will Stacey and Suki never find out what really happened to her?
