Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) is set to furiously lash out in upcoming EastEnders scenes as best friend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) remains missing.

Having not heard from Eve in days, Stacey is growing increasingly worried for her safety.

Already on edge, she is understandably horrified when she receives a Christmas card from sinister stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), who recently pleaded guilty to stalking, harassment and attempted rape on her request.

As she reads the card, she is suddenly struck with the horrifying thought that Theo may be behind Eve’s disappearance, in some kind of revenge for making him plead guilty.

After talking through her suspicions with an equally concerned Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey talks to the police, who leave her devastated when they tell her that there is nothing they can do.

Furious, Stacey leaves Theo a message, threatening him if he has hurt Eve in any way.

Later, Stacey is shaken when she arrives home to find the front door on the latch, and worries that Theo may have gotten in after her threats.

She is quick to call Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who assures her that there is no one inside and that Theo has moved to Scotland where he can’t hurt her anymore.

As the pair talk, Stacey reveals her threats to Theo.

Jack’s anger over her contact with him is clear, but Stacey is quick to bite back and defend herself, though later she chooses to apologise.

Viewers will know that the true culprits behind Eve’s disappearance are actually Ravi Gulati and Nish Panesar (Aaron Thiara and Navin Chowdhry), who took revenge after discovering her affair with Suki.

With Jack and Stacey determined to find out what really happened to her, and pressure piling on them from the police, Ravi and Nish realise they must come up with a plan to throw people off the scent…
