Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been really struggling in the wake of killing Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), and her panic could cause problems for the rest of The Six in EastEnders.
Having spent a few days away with son Lee, Linda was shocked when she arrived back in Walford and immediately spotted builders attempting to access the cafe, where they had hidden Keanu’s body just days before.
Worried that her sudden, obvious panic would draw attention, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) encouraged her to go home, promising her that she would be there for her if she needed support.
Later, Linda headed over to Stacey’s after receiving a text reminding her of the offer of support.
She was quick to apologise for her earlier outburst, revealing that she had managed to convince herself that the events of Christmas Day hadn’t happened while she was away, but seeing the cafe brought it all back.
Not only that, but having earlier spotted Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) back on the Square, Linda revealed how horrified she was that the secret of daughter Annie’s paternity may come out.
Viewers will know that Annie is Max Branning’s daughter – though Lauren is unaware of this.
However, Linda expressed her concerns that she may find out, leading to Max returning and laying out all sorts of demands.
Stacey was quick to point out that that was yet another reason why Linda needed to keep it together and stay sober, in order to not give Max any excuse to take her daughter away from her.
As Linda revealed that staying sober wasn’t that easy, Stacey pointed out that all six of them were struggling, and that she could end up going down for something she hadn’t done if Linda couldn’t get her act together.
When Linda explained that she was trying, Stacey gave her a stark warning to try harder.
With Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) having received news that Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) had woken up, it will soon become more important than ever for Linda to keep it together. Will she manage it?
