The chemistry between Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) continues to grow in EastEnders soon, but the possibility of things developing further could come to an end as the two characters are involved in an argument.

Jack has been on hand to support Stacey throughout her stalking ordeal with Theo (William Ellis).

As well as this, Jack and Stacey often spend time together looking after their granddaughter Charli, who is Lily (Lillia Turner) and Ricky’s (Frankie Day) child.

Upcoming episodes will see Stacey and Jack go shopping for Christmas presents where he buys a few gifts for her children.

Later in the week, Stacey receives a Christmas card from Theo and worries that he might be behind Eve’s (Heather Peace) disappearance.

After a chat with Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey heads to the station to report her suspicions, but she reaches a dead end when the police say there’s nothing they can do.

In a state of overwhelming emotions, Stacey calls Theo and leaves a message, threatening him if he’s hurt Eve.

The trouble continues for Stacey as she returns home to find the door on the latch. Worried Theo might be inside, Stacey is reassured by Jack, who says there’s no-one in her house and that Theo is in Scotland.

After helping Stace, Jack is angry when she reveals that she threatened Theo, but Stacey retaliates and tries to put Jack in his place.

Later, Stacey heads to the pub to have a drink with Kat (Jessie Wallace), but leaves early because she wants to apologise to Jack.

But what will happen next?

Is it only a matter of time until an affair begins between these two?
