EASTENDERS star Clair Norris declared Bobby Brazier was “best on the night” after Strictly fans claimed he was “undermarked” on Saturday.
The actor nailed a samba in movie week with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell and wowed viewers with his shaking hips.
His performance to Young Hearts Run Free from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet landed him in fourth place on the leader board after judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke scored him eight points each.
Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu topped the board with their energetic Charleston, while Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer scored the first 10 of the series from head judge Shirley for their Couples Choice to Men In Black, and Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola came in third for their a romantic Viennese Waltz.
Bobby’s soap co-star Clair Norris was among the first to comment on a video of his performance on Instagram.
The actress, known for playing Bernadette Taylor on the BBC soap, insisted it was the “best on the night”.
Dozens of others agreed and one viewer moaned: “So Eddie got a 10 and this didn’t!? Nahh sorry this and Angela’s Charleston were the best dances of the night.”
Another fan said: “Seriously undermarked and I never say that lightly, he was so good.”
And a third ranted: “Very undermarked. Marking and comments don’t match up they didn’t give him one negative comment or anything to work on. It was amazing dance of the night.”
