EastEnders star Ricky Norwood reveals he’s ready to ‘bring Fatboy back to life’ after cameo

Actor Ricky Norwood has shared his thoughts on EastEnders' beloved character Fatboy returning to the BBC soap as he prepares to perform on Dancing on Ice this Sunday

Dancing on Ice and former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood has revealed the BBC soap only has to call him and he’d return.

Speaking to the Mirror and other press, Ricky teased that although his character was confirmed to have died, the door may still be open for a return to Walford in the future. He said: “You never know with EastEnders even those that have died on screen have come back in EastEnders have had a tremendous year last year.

“Absolutely phenomenal all of the storylines they’ve done especially with Lola and ‘The Six’. I thought they really upped their level and Christmas, everybody was watching EastEnders. And to be part of Cindy’s comeback, flash back, was a pleasure and an honour.”

He continued: “It was great to be back, there was still camera guys and makeup people and and some of actors that I still talk to today that were there, and it felt like being home again. You know everything you know where all the sets are, you know if you turn this corner The Vic is going to be there so it was beautiful to be back but you just never know with EastEnders.

“I’ve got so much love and respect for them, all of them. If they want Fatboy back, they just need to give me a call because it’s a beautiful place to work and they have some really talented actors, directors and writers right now.”

“Even on a long day, when there’s strains, even when you’re tired and hungry and, you haven’t had time to go and get some lunch, but you’ve got to crack on – there’s a camaraderie, there’s a bond, there’s a connection and everybody’s supporting each other. I love EastEnders with all my heart and if they ever want to give me a call, I’ll always come back and bring Fatboy back to life,” Ricky added.

Following last weekend’s Dancing on Ice launch, Ricky Hatton found himself in the skate-off, with the remaining place decided during Sunday’s show after the remaining celebrities perform. Bookmakers Ladbrokes have tipped Love Island star Amber Davies to go all the way with odds of 3/1 while Ryan Thomas has become the one to watch with his odds having been slashed in half, from 8/1 to just 4/1, putting him firmly among the frontrunners.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve now seen half of the field take to the ice, and our traders are seemingly convinced Ryan Thomas will end up being the one to beat… while Amber continues to head the betting, the Corrie star has already seen his odds slashed in half, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him lead the way in a couple of weeks from now.”
