Strictly star Bobby Brazier reduced dad to tears with heartbreaking comment

Bobby Brazier's Strictly Come Dancing debut was a huge success, with his father, Jeff Brazier, visibly moved. Jeff had previously shed tears at the National Television Awards when Bobby dedicated his Rising Star award to him.

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier thas taken Strictly Come Dancing stage by storm, leaving his proud father Jeff Braizer in tears.

Bobby, the son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, danced a Foxtrot to the tune of McFly’s “All About You” with his pro partner Dianne Buswell. As he graced the dancefloor, Jeff couldn’t contain his emotions, visibly moved by his son’s performance. Bobby is already one of the top favourites to clinch the coveted Glitterball trophy later this year.

Earlier this month at the National Television Awards, Jeff was seen crying as his son Bobby dedicated the Rising Star award to him. Collecting his award, Bobby paid tribute to his father Jeff, saying: “This actually has very, very, very little to do with me and everything to do with my dad.

“Over the course of the last twenty years, I have consistently heard him say ‘because I can’. It was a mantra or a motto of his, and him just saying that it’s… Because I can!” Speaking to The Mirror after his incredible win, Bobby admitted all he wanted to do was run to his dad and give him a hug.

“I feel so privileged and I feel like I’m a very little part of this award. I’m blessed. My dad cried, I think I’m going to cry when I see him. I just want to go and give him a hug now to be honest. I just want to go and hand this award to my dad, because all because of him.” Jeff is very supportive of his son’s career and previously spoke of how proud he was of his son for his work on EastEnders and signing up for Strictly.

He told The Mirror: “I’m really proud of Bobby and the attitude he has had since he’s been on EastEnders. He’s wanted to absorb as much from all the incredibly experienced actors around him. He’s made a really good start to his career, and I can see he’s proud of himself, too. I can see every time I switch it on that he’s got better. Every time I watch it I can see he’s better in the terms of the layers. I’m no acting expert, I can’t say how good he is, but I’m really proud of my son. He’s had an opportunity and he’s taken it.”
