Is Heather Peace leaving EastEnders? BBC star sparks worry with emotional Instagram post

EastEnders fans are worried Eve Unwin actress Heather Peace could be leaving the BBC soap.

Eve is at the centre of a big and emotional storyline for both her and Suki after the pair decided they would run away together. Nish has been unaware of their budding romance, but all was revealed last night to an angry Nish.

After the big reveal, Eve actress Heather took to Instagram to post an emotional message, which she shared with her followers. She spoke of the importance of the storyline and how crucial the representation was for all of them.

Taking to social media, she wrote: ” #Sukeve reveal day. The secret is out! Nish knows! I love this story & the time & care that’s been taken by all the team @bbceastenders. Suki’s story has resonated with so many from what I’ve seen.

“The representation has meant a lot too through Eve presenting the way she does. So many thanks to the writers and producers for playing this story out in real-time. It’s been a precious thing, certainly for me, having not seen a love story like this when I was growing up. I feel blessed to have worked alongside so many beautiful actors too who also care about storytelling.”

However, fans are concerned that her post was actually a goodbye message to the soap – leaving fans fearing she is leaving the show, or that her character Eve could die at the hands of Nish, with the villain no doubt ready to seek revenge.

Sharing their concerns, one fan wrote in the comments section: “Why does this sound like a goodbye??? I hope it isn’t!!! Suki and Eve deserve their happy ending, but in the square!!!” another added: “Love the scene, but I’m worried! We know Suki is still in it at Christmas. Don’t want anything bad to happen to Eve.” Giving their verdict of what this could mean for Suki and Eve’s characters, a third fan shared: “Please tell me that you’re not leaving…… This romance is just beginning.”

Eve star Heather previously revealed what it is like working alongside the likes of the soap’s actresses including Lacey Turner. She said: “I haven’t made a friend like Lacey for a long time. As you get older, those friendships don’t come along very often. From day one, we connected, and she’s one of my best pals. Lacey is an absolute diamond – I’d trust her with anything … I’m so lucky I get to work with her, Gillian Wright [Jean] and Balvinder Sopal [Suki] – phenomenal women.”
