Keanu Taylor (portrayed by Danny Walters) is at the top of the list of potential victims for this year’s Christmas murder mystery, alongside villains Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) and Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).

But before BBC One viewers can find out which of these men, if any at all, will meet his maker, a brutal fight takes place in Walford next week.

Coming up, the Taylors are the talk of the Square and things soon go from bad to worse for Keanu after his mother Karen was exposed for her involvement in Albie Watts’ fake kidnapping ordeal.

Dean then antagonises Keanu by making derogatory comments about his family, as the pair draw out battle lines against each other in The Vic.

Later on, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) prepares to face her first Christmas without her husband Mick, who vanished at sea during the festive season in 2022.

Linda is saddened to learn that her children Nancy and Lee will not be coming home to visit her, despite her need to be with her family.

Unfortunately, Dean decides to make matters worse by rattling her even further.

Linda receives a photo from the villain, who is dressed as Santa Claus, with her son Ollie at the Beale’s Eels new grotto.

Incensed, Linda heads there to confront Dean and she lets rip.

Meanwhile, Keanu tells Jade Green, who recently returned to the Square unexpectedly, that her father Dean is a sexual predator.

Elsewhere, the truth about Kathy’s café fire finally comes to light as Nish Panesar and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) both tell the soap legend her own husband Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) is responsible for the disaster.

After scolding Nish for piling debt on Rocky, Kathy demands an apology but he refutes her claims.

He then proceeds to unleash a vile attack on Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris) who has got caught in the crossfire.

Seeing his sister in a tough situation, Keanu lashes out at Nish but the fight is quickly defused.

Following the altercation, Keanu is hoping to put the events of the day past him with his fiancée Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

Little does he know she’s keeping a massive secret about Albie’s paternity from him…

Who will be unveiled as the mystery male victim on Christmas?

Is Keanu living out his last days in Walford?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
