EASTENDERS fans were left stunned tonight when a huge character appeared to return from the dead.
But while Eve Unwin made a shock reappearance after Nish Panesar and Ravi Gulati were arrested for her murder, it wasn’t the baps flogger who raised eyebrows.
Linda Carter is preparing for her first Christmas without husband Mick.
Fans will remember that last Christmas Day Mick – played by Danny Dyer – appeared to drown after tense scenes with him, Linda [Kellie Bright] and his new wife Janine [Charlie Brooks].
During Thursday night’s episode of EastEnders Linda received a text claiming to be from Mick that read: “L, I can’t talk but I need to see you.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t do this til now. I’ll explain everything. Mick x.”
Linda has also been dealing with the return of Dean Wicks, after he raped her in harrowing scenes in 2014.
Rushing to social media, one viewer wrote: “Imagine if Mick comes back at Christmas to help Linda with Dean!!”
Another said: “Come to think of it… did Mick’s body turn up?”
And a third added: “Mick! It’s a Christmas miracle.”
However many also believe the message was send by Dean [Matt di Angelo] after he tried to corner her to have a conversation about his sick daughter Jade earlier in the episode.
Linda got the message “from Mick” just moments after Dean was shut down by her best mate Sharon Watts.
Someone else wrote: “Dean definitely messaged Linda pretending to be Mick.”
Elsewhere on the Square, Jack Branning was left with a difficult decision when he walked into Stacey Slater’s kitchen to find Eve [Heather Peace] – shortly after arresting Nish and Ravi.
