Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has been hit by a major blow as it has been predicted that another contestant will take the Glitterball Trophy home this weekend
Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has been dealt a major blow as he prepares to compete in the BBC final.
The EastEnders actor will be taking the stage to compete against Coronation Street actress Ellie Leah and actor Layton Williams. Bobby, who is partnered with Aussie pro Dianne Buswell, has been warned he is the least likely to win the series.
Ladbrokes revealed that the odds are currently sitting at Ellie Leach at 1/10, while it’s 8/1 for Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, whereas Bobby Brazier is standing at odds of 16/1.
Spokesperson for the betting agency Alex Apati revealed: “All the signs are pointing towards a comfortable night for Ellie this weekend… she’s headed the betting for some time now, and anything other than a win for the Corrie star would be considered a major upset at this point.”
Reddit users have also been speculating the results and predicting who they think will win. One said: “I can see Bobby’s CC getting at least 38. I actually wanted him to redo the jive seeing as the judges could choose either his samba (most likely) or his VW. His showdance could have the same vibes as the samba/cha cha cha, I found those to be the dances that entertained me the most from him.”
Another added: “Kinda fuming they chose Bobby’s couples choice. I know it won’t affect that much but it’s unfair that Layton and Ellie have to do dances that rely on being technically strong to be effective. Yet Bobby is already is deemed effective from the get-go as it tells an emotional story. (I also just wasn’t a fan of Bobby’s couples choice he has far more interesting dances and I didn’t feel any emotions from watching it)”
While a third penned: “Not excited for Bobby’s couple’s choice, tbh. I feel it’s a cheap attempt to get votes, and he had better options, like his ballroom dances where we could really show his progress.” Whereas another chimed in: “Well, I’m glad that we’ve only got 1 Couple’s Choice reprise this year, last year only one person chose a different dance to that (probably because Molly’s Couple’s Choice was during a themed week and landed her in the dance off).”
A fifth put: “I am so ready to see all of these dances again especially Layton’s Argentine tango as I really feel this dance was the most robbed of a 40 out of all of them. Ellie definitely deserves a 40 for that American Smooth as well though. Bobby’s dance was beautiful but not really worth a 40 for me though and not crazy about it probably getting him the sympathy votes like last time since its the final but it was a beautiful dance that obviously means a lot to him so excited to see it again.”
