EastEnders: Danielle Harrold Reveals Love-Life Shocker
Earlier this year, EastEnders rolled out arguably one of its most heartbreaking storylines ever. The one of Lola Pearce’s passing due to an untreatable brain tumor. Although it has been a while since Walford bid her goodbye, many residents are still stuck in time. Especially, Jay. He just can’t seem to get over Lola’s loss. However, actress Danielle Harrold (Lola) is a different story all together. While Lola has passed on to another realm. Danielle has moved on to yet another famous show – ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.
The EastEnder’s alum is one of the 12 celebrities participating in the latest season of the reality show. Speaking with the media, Danielle enthused that she is super excited for fans to know the “real” her. Furthermore, she added that forming a personal connection with her viewers’ is her primary intention. Finding a man for her is not on the list. “I am single and no ‘I am not looking for love,” she asserted. Danielle went on to add that she is really looking forward to just be herself on the show. Since, her previous characters on soaps have always required her to deal with really “heavy stuff”.
Danielle Spills The Beans About Her EastEnders Co-Star and More
It is interesting that Danielle has clarified her single status so vocally so many times recently. Especially, since she was very recently linked to her EastEnders co-star Jamie Borthwick. The rumors of their romance started surfacing after the two of them were spotted on a date night. However, according to the star they have just had friendly outings, and there is no romantic angle. “I always say Jamie is the husband I never wanted or asked for, but nonetheless got.” Danielle had told Fabulous magazine earlier this year. She also added that she hasn’t been dating anyone. Asserting that she has been completely occupied with work and that it was probably for the best.
Speaking further about her upcoming stint on I’m A Celebrity, Danielle admitted that it will be tough to go in the jungle. She added that this will be very different from anything she has ever done on EastEnders, or any other show ever before. “It’s going to be interesting to see how I face up to my fears,” she gushed. However, one fear that she does not want to face is, rats! She admitted that she does not like rats. In fact, she hates them. Well, then for her sake, we hope she does not have to encounter any in the jungle! That being said, we are really looking forward to seeing her on the show. What about you? Tell us in the comments.
