BBC EastEnders fans fear Dean Wicks twist after witnessing brutal Keanu Taylor murder
Soap fans are convinced Dean was present for the murder of one of the Albert Square residents - and he could use what he saw and heard against barmaid Linda Carter
EastEnders fans fear Dean Wicks could torment Linda Carter now that she has been uncovered as The Six murderer.
Fans of the long-running BBC soap were on the edge of their seats on Christmas Day as a long awaited murder reveal aired. Back in February, a flash forward scene showed Linda, played by Kellie Bright, Suki Panesar, played by Balvinder Sopal, Kathy Beale, played by Gillian Taylforth, Stacey Slater, played by Lacey Turner, Denise Fox, played by Diane Parish and Sharon Watts, played by Letitia Dean, gathered over a dead body.
And scenes that finally aired on Christmas Day showed that Nish Panesar, played by Navin Chowdhry, was the unfortunate man that the ladies were gathered around. However, the episode showed that Nish actually survived being bashed over the head with a champagne bottle by Denise – and it was in fact Keanu Taylor, played by Danny Walters, who died as he arrived to find the women gathered over Nish’s motionless body.
He accused Sharon of killing Nish and threatened to tell the police so that she would be jailed and taken away from her son, Albie. However, Sharon threatened to tell the police Keanu had kidnapped Albie – so he would be the one to get jailed.

Enraged, Keanu had started to throttle Sharon, only for Linda to stab him in the back with a carving fork, killing him – just at the moment that Suki successfully revived Nish. Amid all the drama, and shortly before the deadly scenes took place, Dean – played by Matt di Angelo – had broken into the Queen Vic to leave a threatening gift for Linda in her living room.
However, it was unclear if he ever left the pub – and now fans fear he could have been silently watching and listening to the violent scenes that were taking place on the ground floor. Dean’s character had previously raped Linda, and has returned to Albert Square in recent months and his actions have been threatening to Linda.
There are fears he will now use his knowledge that she killed someone to his advantage. One soap fan took to X/Twitter to float the theory that Dean may have seen everything, writing: “Dean may have seen what Linda did and could use it as blackmail.” Another concurred, writing: “But Dean the rat might still be in the pub somewhere.”

This has provoked some fans to question if The Six could then kill Dean next, with one writing: “Loved it very entertaining shouted at them quite a bit and I’m sure Dean Wicks witnessed it all he’s next on the list! #EastEnders.”
And another wrote: “Are we absolutely sure Dean isn’t still in the Queen Vic listening to all the changing stories #TheSix are putting together? #sixmas #eastenders Also why on earth aren’t they considering framing the very drunk Rocky for any of this?”
The twist filled Christmas special was a hit with fans – with many taking to social media to discuss how much they loved it. One X/Twitter user commented: “Probably the best ever episode! It was that good. But the highlight has been the comments on X from people saying it was predictable and obvious… the same people who have been guessing the outcome wrong for months. Just admit they pulled off a classic EastEnders twist!”
