BBC EastEnders ‘work out’ real identity of George Knight’s mum – and what happened to his dad

EastEnders viewers think they’ve rumbled a twist linked to George Knight’s real parents.

Some fans are convinced they know the identity of George’s biological mother, after a scene on Thursday night. Not only that, but a sinister twist led many fans to believe they also know what happened to George’s real father.

On Tuesday, George Knight learned a shocking truth about his past from his adoptive parents Gloria and Eddie Knight. The pair told George that he was adopted via a process known as farming which saw children advertised for money for parents looking to give kids a home.

The news led to George making a discovery about his heritage which caused him to question the identity his parents impressed upon him since his adoption. But as George reeled from the news, learning they had lied about where his parents were from and who they were, as well as what had happened to them, it was soon clear there was more to be revealed.

After a heart-to-heart between Gloria and George, she told him she loved him and saw him as her son, as she apologised for not telling him sooner. But as she and Eddie went to leave the pub, they both confessed they had not told him the whole truth.

After hearing the way Eddie spoke about George’s biological father, who had apparently brought George to them according to their story, fans were suspicious about something. George had questioned why his dad, who Gloria had said loved George dearly, never came back for him given the scheme mentioned by Gloria and Eddie was meant to be a fostering arrangement.

His adoptive parents claimed the money stopped coming their way and his dad never came back for him, suggesting there would be a reason he could not return. Given this, the constant lies and the final scene that showed Eddie discussing there was more to come, some fans wondered if they had worked out the truth.

Fans questioned whether in a twist, Gloria was George’s real mother and that she was lying when she said she didn’t know anything about her. They thought given how emotional she was, and seeing how awful Eddie was, perhaps Gloria was George’s mum and that’s why their story about the adoption was so full of holes.

Not only that, but other fans suggested the reason George’s dad never returned for him was because Eddie had killed him. Taking to X, one viewer said: “Think she’s his real mum,” as another said: “Me too and it came out that she was with the father and someone made him disappear.”

Another fan commented: “I think she is George’s real mum!” while a third said: “I’ve got a funny feeling Eddie killed George’s Real Parents.” The murder theory continued, with another comment reading: “I feel like Eddie killed George’s real dad,” while a further comment said: “He absolutely killed George’s parents when they came back for George.”
