Just days away from Christmas, it’s been confirmed that this week’s schedule for EastEnders has changed.

Don’t worry, it’s only a minor alteration to what we’re used to, so allow us to explain.

When is EastEnders on this week?

After yesterday’s (December 18) episode, the next instalment of the BBC One soap won’t air until Wednesday at 7:30pm, with the final two episodes of the week airing on Thursday and Friday, both at 7:30pm.

Why isn’t EastEnders on tonight?

The usual Tuesday episode won’t be broadcasted tonight due to the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year ceremony.

It will be on BBC One from 7-9pm, with the next episode of Vigil airing afterwards.

When we pick up the drama on Wednesday focus will turn to Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who is planning revenge on Nish (Navin Chowdhry) after Eve’s (Heather Peace) disappearance.

Elsewhere, Kim (Tameka Empson) will offer some advice to Denise (Diane Parish) in the aftermath of her discovery about Jack (Scott Maslen) and Stacey (Lacey Turner), and Dean (Matt Di Angelo) will receive a call from the hospital about a transplant for daughter Jade.

The biggest focus over the festive period is of course on The Six.

Back in February, a flash-forward sequence aired that confirmed a dead body will be found in the pub on Christmas Day and The Six – Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) Suki, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Stacey, Denise and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) – will all be present.

The only clue as to who the victim may be was a set of amber cufflinks, and we were relying on those to narrow down who may be set to meet their maker.

However, this week, when Alfie (Shane Richie) arrived at Billy’s (Perry Fenwick) stall, it was revealed he’d be attempting to flog countless pairs of those amber cufflinks.

So much for narrowing it down!
