Instead, the broadcaster will be airing coverage of the latest Women’s Football match in a blow to die-hard fans of the show.

The broadcaster regularly moves its airing of the soap in order to facilitate live sporting events.

However, the move comes at a crucial time for EastEnders as the series gears up to head towards its hotly-anticipated The Six storyline.

Fans will finally discover the identity of the dead body on The Queen Vic floor.

During last night’s episode, Suki Panesar’s affair was finally discovered by her villain husband Nish, marking a new chapter for the Walford favourite.

In tense scenes, the family all sat down for a meal but Vinny took his dad aside and told him he the Minute Mart till was down another £200 down.

But as Nish went back to the Minute Mart to watch the footage of the shop, he makes a shocking discovery.

He scrolled through the footage until he finds Suki and Eve together.

Across the Square, Eve calls Suki and tells her: “Get ready for your new life, I’ll see you at the tube station in half an hour.”

“I’ll see you there,” Suki replied telling Eve that “we won”.

However as she plans to leave she has no idea that Nish is watching a recording of her passionately kissing Eve.

It has prompted worry among fans that Suki and Eve could be in grave danger following the discovery – a move which will leave viewers on tenterhooks over the next week as they finally discover what will happen.
