EastEnders spoilers: Sharon makes a life-changing decision after discovering the truth about Phil and Albie

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is set to make a huge decision in upcoming EastEnders scenes following her shocking discovery that Albie is not Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) son.

When Sharon fell pregnant with Albie, she was married to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), but took a home DNA test in order to determine whether the baby was his, given that she had been having an affair with Keanu.

The results came back to show that Phil was not the baby’s father, and so Albie has been brought up with everyone believing that Keanu is his dad.

However, after recent blood test results showed that Albie had a genetic condition called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AADT), which is passed down by a gene from both parents.

When Sharon and Keanu’s test results came back, they proved that while Sharon carried the gene, Keanu did not, meaning that he couldn’t be Albie’s biological father.

This led Sharon to the horrifying conclusion that Albie must be Phil’s – something that she was reluctant to accept given that the home DNA test had ruled him out.

However, when the doctor insisted that the home test was inaccurate and that Keanu couldn’t be Albie’s father, Sharon had no choice but to accept it.

As she reeled from the discovery, she attempted to tell Phil the truth, but their confrontation ended in an argument, which saw Sharon leave before she could tell him.

Equally, her conversation with Keanu ended with him still in the dark, as she realised how much Albie meant to him.

With brother Zack Hudson (James Farrar) being the only person in on the secret, Sharon has an important decision to make. Does she tell Phil and Keanu the truth, or keep it to herself?

New pictures from Monday’s (November 20) episode of the BBC soap show Sharon engaged in a conversation with Phil.

Given that they’re at Boxing Den, they could be talking about work, but with Sharon weighed down by such a heavy secret, could she be about to get it off her chest?

Whatever she decides to do, what will it mean for Albie’s future?
