Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) has been taken in by Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) manipulative lies in recent EastEnders scenes that have seen the pair begin dating.

The pair have been secretly seeing each other behind Gina’s family’s backs, knowing that they would disapprove of the relationship.

This is because Dean raped Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) – Gina’s future step-sister – back in 2014, and has left her retraumatised following his return to Albert Square last Halloween.

However, after Dean blackmailed Linda into falsely confessing to making up her allegations against him, and played the recording in front of the packed Queen Vic, Gina’s trust in Linda faltered.

Horrifying scenes later saw Gina admit to Dean that she believed him over Linda, leaving her in serious danger.

The situation between them grew even more alarming as they grew increasingly close, before finally agreeing to date.

However, Gina insisted that they keep their relationship hidden, and in recent scenes pulled away from one of Dean’s kisses, wary that someone would spot them together.

She was right to worry, as Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) had witnessed the whole exchange, and later questioned what she was doing with him.

Gina explained that she really liked him, and no one else saw the real Dean like she did, though she admitted to Jay that she wasn’t sure what to do, given how her family would likely react.

Later, she met with Dean in the barrel store and explained that Jay had seen them, though Dean didn’t seem bothered as he admitted that he was sick of hiding, as Linda had ruined his life enough as it was.

As Gina assured him that she believed him over her, his mood changed as questioned whether or not she was serious about their relationship.

She insisted that she was, but when she pushed him to hide as Linda approached the barrel store, he was left questioning things even more.

Later, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) picked up on his foul mood, and when Dean explained that he wasn’t sure the girl he liked was as serious about him, Ian advised him to prove that he was in it for the long haul with a grand gesture.

Despite Gina’s insistence that they keep things on the down low, Dean took Ian’s advice and burst into the Queen Vic with a bunch of flowers, before kissing Gina in front of a horrified Linda, Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and George Knight (Colin Salmon).

As Gina pushed him away, he announced that they were seeing each other, and that there was nothing anyone could do to stop them.

How will Linda, Elaine and George react?
