Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) receive major news about son Albie in EastEnders next week which leaves them both stunned beyond belief.
This comes shortly after Albie’s kidnap ordeal, which left Sharon broken. As viewers know, Keanu arrived home last week to inform Sharon that Albie had been taken by someone while he played at the park.
A police investigation was swiftly launched, with detectives and the residents of the community coming together in a bid to locate missing Albie, unaware that the whole thing was an elaborate kidnap scheme cooked up by Keanu.
Keanu was desperate to stop Sharon taking Albie away to Abu Dhabi and therefore he tried to flee the country with his son. Seeing how much Albie wanted to stay with Sharon forced the mechanic reconsider, but it was too late as the police had already been notified of the abduction.
Thinking on the spot, Keanu claimed that Albie had been snatched while his back was turned, and thus he posted a ransom note through the letterbox to make his cover story all the more convincing.
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) got involved, agreeing to give Sharon the cash to pay off the blackmailer, much to the horror of Karen (Lorraine Stanley), who feared that she and Keanu would be going to prison over what they’ve done.
Keanu manages to convince Sharon to allow Karen to do the money drop and, while the outcome of the situation remains to be seen, new spoilers confirm that Albie is returned safely to Sharon, who has reunited with Keanu!
Keanu makes a mis-judged joke which falls flat with Sharon, who is still reeling by the cafe fire, which has brought back memories for her.
