Four days into November we are merely weeks away from the most awaited Christmas story on EastEnders. TV Season & Spoilers has been regularly updating fans with all the latest developments. Today, we have another new hint to share. This time coming from the impressive James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler on the BBC One soap!
The prominent soap star teased to The Mirror that fans will be treated with a “massive” Christmas episode on EastEnderds this year. In fact, James believes that this is perhaps by far the best Christmas story he has ever been part of in the many years he has been part of the popular soap. “It is definitely up there with all the Christmases I’ve read, it’s definitely up there. It will be a massive Christmas,” he asserted. In his interview, James just could not stop raving about the incredible job the writers have done this year.
A Mega Christmas Loading On EastEnders
The soap star promised that this time the writers are giving the fans exactly what they have been wanting from the soap. “A big EastEnders Christmas,” he gushed. Taking a trip down memory lane, actor Jamie Borthwick (Jay Brown) teased that this year’s story as at the same level as the Max and Stacey affair Christmas story back in 2007. Long time viewers will recall that back in that year, Max and Stacey’s affair was revealed through a DVD from Stacey’s wedding to Max’s son, Bradley.
We know that this year there will be a murder on Christmas day. As already teased in the flashforward scenes, the victim is a male character on EastEnders. Show runner Chris Clenshaw pointed that as we inch closer and closer to the big day, the story will start becoming clearer. We will start to get an idea of who the victim really is. “It will be clear who it could be from a small number of people,” he promised. So fans better watch the soap with a microscopic vision! As new hints will drop in every upcoming episode.
