EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (November 29) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Nish Panesar (Navin Chowhdry) was left in complete and utter shock when he saw footage of wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) sharing a passionate kiss with lover Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

The discovery came as he was checking the CCTV at the Minute Mart to catch out Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), who he reckoned was stealing from the till.

Struggling to process what he’d witnessed, the patriarch lashed out, taking his anger out on the shop, trashing the place so badly that he severely cut his hand in the process.

Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) stumbled upon his dad and worked out rather quickly that something was awry by the look in his eye. The concerned son took his dad to Walford East to patch him up, asking him what was the matter.

Despite his initial reservations, Nish revealed all, with Ravi left in shock to find out about Eve and Suki. Nish was adamant that it was a one-off and, believing Eve to have ‘corrupted’ Suki, he resolved to murder her.

Ravi talked some sense into Nish, urging him to return home and get the truth out of Suki before taking such rash action.

Nish did as he was told but, upon finding Suki’s phone on the kitchen table, he read her text conversation with Eve and, livid, he texted the lawyer from the device, urging Eve to meet at once.

Eve raced to Walford East, worried Suki might be in danger, but it was her own life that was in mortal peril, with Nish confronting her and revealing that he knows the truth.

Fed up of the pretence, Eve told him everything, confirming that she and Suki have been having a relationship for over a year, stating that they’re in love. Nish was appalled and berated her for such a thing, claiming that Suki loves him.

Eve, however, was quick to inform him that this was not the case, telling him to let Suki go and live a life free and away from his control. With Suki sending her a text to meet at the station, Eve headed off but before she could exit the premises, Nish hit her across the skull with a bottle, knocking her unconscious.

Ravi was summoned to the restaurant, where he was horrified to see Eve’s lifeless body. Nish confirmed that Eve was still alive, for the time being, but demanded that Ravi kill her and help him dispose of the body.

Is this really it for Eve? Will she and Suki have their happy ending? Or has Nish scuppered any shot of such a thing by repeating history?
