EastEnders’ Gillian Wright flooded with support as she celebrates huge soap milestone

GILLIAN Wright has been flooded with support as she celebrated a huge soap milestone.
The EastEnders star, 64, has played the role of Jean Slater for almost 20 years.
And this week soap bosses paid tribute to the actress as she officially recorded her 1,000th episode.
Taking to social media, the official EastEnders account shared a snap of Gillian a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
She could be seen beaming with joy from the fictional Walford set.
Alongside the picture, the show said: “Happy ONE THOUSANDTH episode to the wonderful and talented Gillian Wright.
“Now that calls for a sausage surprise!”
Fans flooded Gillian with well wishes as they paid tribute to her iconic character.
One said: “The best character arc in the whole show like a modern day Pat Butcher congrats on the 1000th episode Gillian.”
A second posted: “Love our Jean, don’t axe her off, I need her one liners always to stay.”
“Congratulations. I love Jean and her quirky character,” said a third.
