Bobby Brazier has admitted there will be tears following his upcoming Strictly performance.

The EastEnders star, 20, has won over the nation with his dancing and close partnership with professional Dianne Buswell. He has become a firm favourite to take home the Glitterball trophy and has already teased what his upcoming dance will be. Bobby, who is the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, will perform a couple’s choice on Saturday’s show.

Bobby and Dianne have chosen to dance a cotemporary and ballroom number to Maxwell’s This Woman’s work. The actor appeared on Strictly spin off It Takes Two where he told host Fleur East where he said: “It is the perfect song, sung by the perfect man and it is the perfect tone. The lyrics are just profound and touched me at my core – it is gorgeous. I am going to have to work very hard this week to do it justice.”

Dianne added it is “something new” for her as well. She said: “I have never done anything like it in my couple’s choice. I am already loving it.” Fleur then asked Bobby what the theme for the dance will be. He replied: “I am a child, well there is me as a child and I come out as me now. I have got Dianne, who replicates a woman lets say my mother probably.

“We go on this journey throughout. I don’t know the whole dance yet to tell you completely but it is emotional. I think there could be a few tears.” Dianne confessed: “The first ten seconds, even when we were in the rehearsal room, I could not look Bobby in the eye because it made me well up. “

Bobby’s Big Brother star mum Jade tragically died from cervical cancer in 2009 aged 27. He was just five-years-old at the time and his younger brother Freddie was four. The brothers were raised by their proud dad Jeff and have admitted they don’t have many memories of their mum.

The Strictly star has previously revealed he doesn’t remember “a whole lot” about the Big Brother star and that he bases his memory of Jade on what others have told him about her. He heartbreakingly confessed he doesn’t miss his mum because he feels he wasn’t with her long enough.

Speaking to The Face, Bobby shared: “I don’t feel like I was with her long enough to miss her. I miss what could’ve been. I hear all the time she was such a presence, that she was one of a kind.” He added that he would love to see “what other people had seen.” While speaking to The Times, Bobby said when asked when his memories of her were: “Not a whole lot.

“Maybe memories of memories. I’m always being told about her and what she meant to people. I guess I know my mum through other people’s memories of my mum.” Earlier this year Bobby and brother Freddie marked the 14th anniversary of Jade’s passing with a reflective walk through central London.

The brothers were spotted in Piccadilly Circus as they quietly commemorated the day by honouring their late mum together. Freddie and dad Jeff have been supporting Bobby on his Strictly journey by cheering him on from the audience. Jade wanted to make sure that her children knew how much she loved them even after her death. In a poignant final message, she attached a photo album of her life, saying: “Dear Bobby and Freddie – I have asked for this book to be made so that when you are older you can remember just how much fun we had.

“I thank God that we made the most of our time together and I treasure the moments we shared. These are my most precious memories. Some person much wiser than me once said that if you never discovered something you would die for, then you haven’t lived. Well, you are both proof that I have lived. I will love you always. Mummy.”
