Ahead of what will no doubt be an equally exciting 2024 for Linda and the rest of Albert Square, some of the cast took to social media to wish viewers a Happy New Year.

Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater, and Elaine Peacock actress Harriet Thorpe featured in the clip alongside Kellie.

But Kellie appeared to hint at the return of Big Mo Harris as she posed with life-size cut-out of Laila Morse in character.

Kellie told fans: “Happy New Year from me and Mo.”

Rushing to comment, one person wrote: “I hope Mo comes back!”

And another said: “Would love Mo back.”

Mo was last seen on Albert Square in 2022, when she returned for a few weeks over the summer.

The character now resides in Essex and ahead of her last stint in Walford Laila said: “I always have so much fun playing Mo so I can’t wait to get back to the Square and see what mischief she gets up to this time.”

Mo first arrived in Walford back in 2000 alongside family members including granddaughter Kat Slater [Jessie Wallace].

Meanwhile fans have also predicted another iconic character will soon make a comeback.

Jack Branning [Scott Maslen] was left shocked by the arrival of his estranged daughter Penny [Kitty Castledine].

After discovering Penny had planted drugs on his niece Lauren [Jacqueline Jossa] as they flew to London from Paris, Jack was seen making a call.

And viewers have been left convinced he was talking to brother Max [Jake Wood] – who was last seen on the Square in 2021.
