Becoming famous is magnificent, but also comes with some downsides. EastEnders and Sex Education star Mimi Keene recently faced the terror of it. The actress stated that her creepy stalker showed up at her doorstep at least seven times. Understandingly, the horrifying experience has left the 25 years old actress rattled and anxious. Thankfully, the stalker has been arrested and jailed by the police. Hopefully, this will bring Mimi some respite after the ordeal.
33 years old Emilis Lupeikis had been obsessively researching about the EastEnders star’s life and movement on her social media. Aided by his knowledge of her routine, he started his rein of terror. He followed Mimi Keene to a London Nightclub and stuffed her jacket pocket with love notes while she was dancing with her friends. Later, he followed her back to her home in Hertfordshire. Then he began leaving bouquets in her garden.
Things reached a breaking point when Emilis’ confidence grew and he started banging on Mimi’s door claiming that he is in love with her. Although the stalker has been arrested, the ordeal has had a lasting ill-effect on the EastEnders star. The young actress confessed that she now feels unsafe in her own home. She continues to remain anxious and has a hard time falling asleep. In fact, she feels so Jittery in her house that she is contemplating selling it.
The EastEnders Star’ Stalker Jailed
The EastEnders star first encountered her stalker, Emilis Lupeikis, at a London club on March 3, 2023. She was there celebrating a friend’s birthday. The stalker tried to persuade her to give him her number. Although she declined stating that she already has a boyfriend and was not interested. Following which, she moved on to dance with her friends. However, there was soon commotion when Emilis was caught messing with her jacket. He was them ejected from the nightclub. But that did not dissuade him from further stalking Mimi.
Thankfully, now the creep has been jailed for 16 months. Moreover, the court has issued a restraining order forbidding him from contacting his victim and entering the county of Hertfordshire. We hope Mimi manages to pull herself out of the traumatizing impact the incident has left on her. She has a bright career ahead of her, and hopefully she will succeed in putting this in the rear view mirror. Mimi rose to fame for portraying Cindy Williams in EastEnders.
