Joe Swash sparks rumours he’s considering return to EastEnders as Mickey Miller 12 years after exit
The star revealed details of his his recent visit back on set
JOE Swash sparked rumours he’s considering returning to EastEnders as Mickey Miller 12 years after his exit.
The 41-year-old is set to make a comeback to Walford for a special episode this Christmas.
The star will not be returning to the show as Mickey but instead as a host of a show featuring other Walford legends.
Joe portrayed the beloved Mickey for five years from 2003 to 2008, with a brief return in 2011.
Speaking to The Mirror, Joe said: “It’s really nice. You know, it’s nice to still have a relationship with EastEnders after all these years, which I really like.
“And whenever I’ve been back there it’s not changed, inside the dressing room, the makeup room costume room.
“It’s exactly the same, the same carpet, same doors. So I do get really nostalgic when I go back there.
“I was 21 when I did that show. So much has happened since then.
“You tend to forget about it. But it’s so, so nice. Maybe if I get a chance to go back, I’ll always go back.
“It’s a part of me, it’s something that’s a part of my past.”
When asked if Mickey will be returning in the future, Joe replied: “I really don’t have much to do with it.
“I can’t make the decisions. They bring people back from the dead, so if they really wanted me, they know where I am.”
