EastEnders fan ‘works out’ Christmas Day victim after huge Mick Carter text clue

EastEnders fans are counting down the days until the identity of the male murder victim on the floor of the Vic is revealed, but a text for Linda Carter may have solved the mystery

EastEnders fans suspect they have finally worked out who will die on Christmas Day after Linda Carter received a suspicious text.

The Queen Vic landlady (Kellie Bright) received a text message from someone claiming to be presumed dead ex-husband and love of her life Mick Carter (Danny Dyer). Linda was understandably horrified by the message, which read: “L, I can’t talk but I need to see you. I’m sorry I couldn’t do this til now. I’ll explain everything. Mick x.”

EastEnders fans will remember Mick was last seen heading out to sea to try and save Linda after a car with his ex-wife and his new wife Janine Butcher plunged off a cliff into the sea. Although his body was never found, beloved family man Mick hasn’t been seen or heard from since and was declared dead earlier this year.

However, some fans suspect this text could be a sign that Mick will return on Christmas Day only to end up dead on the floor of the Queen Vic. One viewer tweeted: “What if the body is…….Mick Carter? #TheSix #EastEnders.”

Another theorised: “This is the best episode of the year! Great acting by all especially Stacy when she sees Eve. Linda’s reaction to the text message from Mick Carter and Jack’s line in the next scene right after “back from the dead” did it for me #eastenders.”

“Me four bottles of Bucks Fizz down on Christmas Day when Mick waltzes back into The Vic only to get stabbed with a champagne bottle… #EastEnders,” someone else shared while a fourth added: “All I want is for mick to return! #EastEnders.”

One fan suspects Mick will return to take revenge on Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) and support Linda following the last few months of torment she’s suffered. They wrote: “MICK* coming back on Christmas to kill dean is the Christmas twist we need* #eastenders.”

EastEnders fans have been playing detective since a flashforward scene which aired earlier this year revealed a male figure lifeless on the floor of the Queen Vic while six Walford icons stand over him. ‘The Six’, as they’ve been nicknamed, include Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).

The BBC soap confirmed seven male suspects – Dean, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara). But, with all seven having seriously angered ‘The Six’, who will meet their maker this Christmas?
