Rejoice! EastEnders legend confirmed for long-awaited return in huge storyline
EastEnders fans have been left reeling in the aftermath of Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) murder, but they couldn’t help but notice that one key player has been missing from our screens.
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was integral to the drama on Christmas Day, as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) ended up stabbing Keanu in order to save her from him.
However, the pressure of keeping his murder hidden soon proved too much for Sharon, and she fled to Australia to stay with best friend Michelle Fowler.
Now, a new video posted on social media by Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox, suggests that Sharon’s absence may last a while longer, though it’s good news for fans of the character, as she confirms that she will be back.

Diane gathered the rest of The Six to film a video for a fan, during which she pointed out Letitia’s absence.
‘There’s only five of us at the minute,’ she pointed out, before adding, ‘we will have six.’
You heard it, folks: Sharon Watts will return!
In the video, The Six (-1) – as Diane referred to them – shared their appreciation to fan Owen Lawrence, who had recorded his reaction to the dramatic Christmas Day episodes.
They were full of laughter as they recreated moments from his video, with Linda Carter actress Kellie Bright even suggesting that he should be on the telly, referring to him as a ‘genius’.
‘It was classic, genius stuff. We love it. Thank you for your video, because it made us laugh!’ Diane said.
Owen was thrilled with the video, and quickly took to the comments to say: ‘Ladies, thank you so much! I cannot believe you’ve seen it.’
The Six storyline has received a huge reaction from fans, right back to the original flash forward episode which teased the Christmas Day murder.
It sparked countless fan theories and discussions over what could happen and some people (aka – yours truly) were so invested that they erected a detective style murder board in their bedroom to try and work out what was going to happen.
Diane, if you’re reading, this is my call for a personalised video message from The Six. Huge fan of your work, queens.
It’s safe to say that the drama is set to continue for a while yet, and we can only imagine the level of carnage Sharon will arrive back to.
